About CrimsonDryadMy Stuff
First of all, it was an AOL screenname. You can still find me today in AIM (Aol Instant Messenger for those of you who don't know the chat-speak) under that screenname. I absolutely detested how AOL always tries to put numbers in your screenname, so I needed to come up with a name unique enough that it wouldn't. Second, the "crimson" part I chose because I'm a redhead. One of my favorite colors is a deep maroon or burgundy color, so it seemed to fit. Lastly, there's the "dryad" part. A dryad is a tree nymph or spirit. They are invariably female and are symbiots with their trees, which means they die if they are away from their tree for long. Dryads are elusive, mysterious creatures who are difficult to catch. Their tree of choice is typically the oak.

I miss the forests since I moved to Ohio, so I thought the dryad was an appropriate symbol.
